The battery's out. What a struggle!! The weapons of choice were a serrated kitchen knife to hack away at the expanded foam and a wine bottle !! to push out the battery. The battery is made by GS Batteries of Japan - model PE6V4A. Nobody seems to make them anymore, the main problem being it's size - 45mm x 50mm x 120mm. Can't find one much under 60mm. BUM:(
